Practical & Welcoming
The Waka Hauora Health Bus accommodates a private treatment room, a spacious hospital bed, space to store all the necessary supplies, a vaccine fridge, and a small waiting area.

Accessible to All
The Health Bus is made available with a small booking fee applied. Where there is a clear community need, the bus is occasionally offered free of charge. We encourage you to get in touch to discuss your group's needs and eligibility.

In Partnership
The Robert Bartley Foundation works collaboratively with health organisations and providers, including Whanganui Regional Health Network and Te Whatu Ora, to maximise the positive impact of the Health Bus, making primary health care services more accessible – especially for those facing barriers such as isolation, distance, cost, or illness.
It Takes a Village
An extraordinary number of people contributed to the creation of the Health Bus. These contributors include: Whanganui District Council, Whanganui District Health Board, Display Associates, GDM, the Robert Bartley Foundation Board, volunteer drivers, the Bartley Group, and many generous Whanganui people and businesses.
